Customized Las Vegas Rat & Mice Control
Wherever humans have gone, rats and mice have followed - pretty much throughout history. They feast on our trash, use our homes as their nests, and even invade our food storage for their next meal. Unfortunately, they leave a whole host of problems in their wake. Rodent urine creates foul odors and draws mold and mildew, feces are packed with disease, and they have been known to damage everything from building materials to electrical and telecommunications wires.
Our Las Vegas rodent exterminators specialize in removing rats and mice from all areas of your property, including:
- Attics
- Basements & underground areas
- Garden sheds
- Garages
- Kitchens
- Bathrooms
The key to keeping rats and mice out is to limit the features that draw them in and to work on closing off any entry points they might use to sneak inside in the first place. Rats and mice are notorious for finding their way in through gaps and cracks that look far too small for them to even possibly squeeze through, and even through methods that you might otherwise think are secure. At Mountain View Pest Control, we offer helpful exclusion tips and can walk through your property to find trouble spots to focus on.

What is the Difference Between Mice and Rats?
Mice and rats are both pests that can cause damage to property and spread disease. They are similar in many ways, but there are also some telltale differences between rats and mice.
- Mice are much smaller than rats, with an average adult mouse weighing around 0.03 - 0.05 lbs. An average adult rat weighs around half a pound.
- Mice are much less aggressive and likely to bite, and the bites are less serious. (You should still seek medical attention either way if you are bitten by a rodent.) When rats bite, they are most likely to target children and go for the face or hands.
- Mouse droppings look like little black grains of rice while rat droppings are bigger.
Rats and mice usually do not cohabitate, so normally you will have one or the other.
